Transportation and cable pull systems

Projects special cables Transportation and cable pull systems

The transportation of the cable is effected by tensioners. Cables with a diameter of up to 300 millimetres and at a speed of up to 20 metres a minute are transported. The roller path consists of heavy duty rollers and has as an example a bending radius of up to 3 metres.

Inside a Turntable

Projects special cables Plants and components for the production of submarine power cables

Münstermann offers plants and components for the production of special cables as for example those needed for offshore wind farms. A typical application is the transfer of the cable from the stranding machine to the turntable, which acts as a buffer store for the cable.Münstermann can also supply transport systems, which unload the cable from the storage turntables and lay it onto an appropriate turntable on the cable-laying ship. The assembly of this unit is both possible outdoors and indoors as well as near the sea. The units and components can be offered along with the accompanying automation systems and safety engineering.

Transport of two oven zones by plane

Projects thermoprocessing plants Transport of two oven zones by plane

Münstermann plants are sold and assembled worldwide. Usually the plants are transported by truck and then by ship to the production site of the respective customer. With a current project, however, everything was different.

Continuous flow dryer for Volkswagen

Projects thermoprocessing plants Continuous flow dryer for Volkswagen

Münstermann has won its first order from Volkswagen. This is for a timed sequence continuous flow dryer with two conveyor belts in which wax-coated steel components undergo heat treatment. The unit consists of a warm-up zone, a smaller cooling-down zone and the dryer’s integrated material handling system. The special thing about this is the very high positioning accuracy of the steel components on the conveyor belt.

Projects thermoprocessing plants Energy-saving design of industrial drying units

The rising prices of energy require a rethinking in the design of machines as these mean the running costs of production units continue to rise.

Drying of gypsum blocks

Projects thermoprocessing plants Dryer for refractory material

An excellent example of a typical working relationship with our customers is a new dryer for RHI. After numerous trials in our Trials Department optimal curing times and a temperature profile was determined together before the design and development phase in order to reach an even curing of the briquettes.

Metal strip dryer with adjustable nozzle separation

Projects thermoprocessing plants Metal belt dryer with adjustable nozzle spacing

During the production of metal strips, which may have a high propensity to waviness or unevenness, it is possible that the drying in a metal strip dryer can occur non-uniformly or that the strip is even damaged.

At the end of February 2008 the first large Münstermann curing oven for glass wool was successfully taken into operation in the USA. It is not without a certain pride that we can boast that the Acceptance Certificate from our customer Knauf Insulation, Shelbyville, was signed without the inclusion of any notifications of defects or requests to remedy any defects.

Continuous-flow dryer for coils of wire

Projects thermoprocessing plants Continuous-flow dryer for coils of wire

A very interesting project was developed for Bekaert. This is of particular interest because on the one hand much emphasis was put on energy efficiency (especially in comparison with the older dryers) and on the other hand on account of the demands on the degree of automation and the safety aspects connected to it and also the special handling demands to be solved. In this unit very thin wires are dried, which are wound on to spools. Before they reach the dryer they are rinsed. The rinsing fluid is then dried.

Custom-specific preheating oven

Projects thermoprocessing plants Custom-specific preheating oven

Our customer, WTW Wandler- und Transformerwerk Wirges could have certainly bought four single heating ovens off the peg but for special demands standard solutions do not often have the characteristics that are required.

Tempering oven for the automotive industry

Projects thermoprocessing plants Tempering oven for the automotive industry

In this tempering oven seals that are used for sealing motor vehicle windows are produced. The seals are placed in tempering ovens at a temperature of 130 °C for one hour. The seals are placed on metal transporting trays which in turn are stacked on pallets. These pallets are transported continuously in rotation by chain conveyors through the oven.

 Disassembly of the filter bags

Service projects Replacement methods for contaminated filter bags

Our service department provides more safety for your employees when dismantling old contaminated filter bags. The handling of used, dust-laden filter bags, especially when they are contaminated, pose a health hazard to their employees during the dismantling process as well as during transport of the filter bags.

Münstermann offers you a special installation method for the dismantling of these filter bags. The health of your employees is protected, and the method also ensures clean and safe packaging of the filter bags during disassembly.

Easy handling and safe transport

The removal method consists of a sleeve fitted with a hose film and an aluminum demontage storage. In the case of disassembly, the demontage storage is placed on the filter bag and the filter bag can then simply be pulled into the hose film.
Thus, the contaminated filter bags is safely packaged, the workplace environment remains clean and the filter bags can be transported cleanly without dust leakage.

WIP cleaning system

"WIP-Clean" in bag filter systems generally refers to the cleaning of the filter medium used in the raw gas space, as well as in the pure gas space. In this "wet" cleaning process, which has nothing to do with the dry cleaning of the filter medium, a liquid medium (usually water) is used.

Reasons for using a WIP device

  • Protection of service personnel and the environment (when replacing the filter medium)
  • Rinsing of toxic products before changing the filter medium

Components WIP device

  • Wash liquid dispensers (pipe distributors) outside the filter
  • One set of pipes, valves, nozzle lances and spray nozzles
  • Electrical / pneumatic control components (design according to expected operating convenience and cleaning frequency)
