Münstermann, in cooperation with Vesuvius, has developed an intelligent solution for the existing production plant for tundish moulds, which increase the efficiency and capacity by automated processes.

Münstermann has made a name for itself in the past years in the design, development and production of drying units, de-dusting solutions and their fitting and exacting handling systems.

When looking at the heading one asks oneself arbitrarily what are ingots and how are they produced? In this case ingots are metal bars, mostly out of light or non-ferrous metals such as brass, copper, aluminium or zinc.

An especially large transfer car was delivered to the Baumit Baustoffe GmbH. The car has been taken into operation for the loading of autoclaves when producing lime sand bricks.

Always when special solutions are needed, then Münstermann’s units come into operation. One of their key aspects of competence in the area of building special machines is the design and development of the so-called forming sections as used in the production of mineral fibres. The illustrations show a special development, using conventional methods, for Saint-Gobain ISOVER G+H AG.

A transfer car was designed and developed for Refratechnik Cement GmbH, which handles the kiln car transport over long carrying distances with a satellite.

The Münstermann team has designed a new development that demonstrates its strength as a producer of special machines. The double transfer car has been designed, developed, produced and taken into operation with the following characteristics:

For the transportation of powder-like products trolleys are the common transportation devices. The powder-like products lay on metal sheets which can be removed from the trolley by means of a pulling device. Finally the metal sheets are transported to a collecting box via a lifting and turning appliance.

Transfer cars with three sliding and mounting rails for taking on kiln cars with a total weight of 35 tonnes have been manufactured for a producer of roofing tiles operating world-wide.

Clay pipes are often employed especially in the Near East when the modernisation or extension of the existing infrastructure is concerned. A current project in Saudi Arabia with a special customer/supplier relationship is described below.

Münstermann has made use of all its experience in the transfer car sector in the production of a handling system for metal coils. A new charging machine for the transport of the charging wagons to load and unload the annealing oven and for the loading and unloading of the bull block-side spaces.

Two functions are becoming increasingly important in the design of our thermal processing units. The first function is the material handling of goods when loading and unloading the dryer or the oven; the other is the automation technology such as the control system or the integration of the unit into the supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system.

BASF Polyurethanes trusts Münstermann to move the production of a new, innovative, high performance insulating material from the laboratory into the pilot production phase.

The plant is part of a test facility, which is used to test steel profiles for test purposes. The profiles are conveyed with the handling system through a painting and blasting unit and a furnace.
