An especially large transfer car was delivered to the Baumit Baustoffe GmbH. The car has been taken into operation for the loading of autoclaves when producing lime sand bricks.
Characteristics of the transfer car
The main characteristic of the transfer car is certainly its size. 6 wagons with a length of 2,5 metres can be moved simultaneously. The resulting total length of the car is 18 metres. Each of the 6 cars can have a weight of up to 7 tons. For the loading and unloading of the transfer car a mechanical pick-up and pulling conveyor fitted with a control shaft and with a shearing force of 2 tons is employed.
The design of the transfer car is made in such a way that conveyance from both sides is possible. Another speciality is the installation of two bascule bridges for a safe rail crossing.
