Projects clean air technology

Our customer Clariant operates a bleaching earth grinding stock at the Moosburg site. The existing electrostatic precipitator has now been replaced by Münstermann with a modern bag filter system.

Replacement for an electrostatic precipitator

The grinding-drying plant was previously dedusted by a cyclone battery and a downstream old brick electrostatic precipitator. Münstermann has replaced the old electrostatic precipitator with a new modern bag filter system with Pulse-Jet cleaning and the associated fan.

Challenging assembly

The assembly of the plant was a particular challenge here, as all parts had to be lifted over an existing building into an inner courtyard using a large-dimensioned crane (see also the pictures above).

In addition, a new raw gas duct was routed from the cyclone battery over the roof into the raw gas duct of the filter. The exhaust duct was routed from the filter via the new fan to an existing heat exchanger, which heats the air for the subsequent combustion chambers.

Some interesting key data

  • New filter system made of stainless steel 1.4571 with a volume flow of 65,000 Bm³/h.
  • Manufacture of the filter unit with heating, assembly and insulation.
