Projects clean air technology

A large order from Georg Fischer in China shows impressively the competence of NEOTECHNIK in the foundry industry. NEOTECHNIK designed, developed and assembled the complete de-dusting system of a new foundry built on a ‘greenfield’ site. The system comprises the de-dusting of the melting process, the moulding facilities, the sand conditioning, the sand blasting plant and the cleaning up areas.

The installation of the plant took place in Kunshan, China. The units were completely built in China by a NEOTECHNIK joint-venture company under the supervision of NEOTECHNIK engineers and supervisors.

In the melting shop four furnaces each with a capacity of 10 tonnes are de-dusted. The filtered air amounts to 132,000 Bm3/hour. The filter unit is a NFS 772 / 1036 with a purged air de-dusting system.

For the de-dusting of the GF-converter and the sand conditioning units filters with a purged air de-dusting systems are also employed. The filtered air amounts to 135,000 Bm3/hour or 160,000 Bm3/hour.

The greatest quantity of air to be purified is in the casting units with 225,000 Bm3/hour.
