Projects clean air technology

Münstermann has designed, developed and marketed several de-dusting plants since its takeover of the company Lüscher Filterbau in 2002. Then again Lüscher had its origins from one of the pioneers of de-dusting technology, Standard Filterbau. Altogether we can therefore look back on 30-years experience in de-dusting technology. It is no wonder therefore that we are sometimes positively caught up by the past.

Current project in the Middle East

A good example for Münstermann's many years of service is a current project for ThyssenKrupp Resource Technologies GmbH in Beckum (formerly Polysius). 30 years ago Polysius supplied two cement production lines to a country in the Middle East. These cement works were given a general overhaul and what was more obvious during this overhaul was to turn to the filter units of the former supplier Standard Filterbau, today Münstermann, which is still in possession of the documents of the original project.

Concept of modernisation

Münstermann developed a concept for the modernisation of the 45 de-dusting systems formerly supplied by Standard Filterbau for ThyssenKrupp. Together with the actual engineering Münstermann supplied the so-called 'prime cuts' like the filter heads and the control system. The assembly on site and the steel structure for the plant was in the hands of ThyssenKrupp.

Precise scope of supply

  • 9 Bag filters for the precipitation of clinker and cement dust
  • 39 complete filter heads including filter media
  • 45 control units and 45 fans (3 to 90 kW power input) for the units

The current project is in fact the second which Münstermann has completed together with ThyssenKrupp in the Middle East. On the basis of the internal documentation from the previous project the engineering could be completely carried out from Germany without the Münstermann workers having to effect large measurement tasks on site.
