From a smithy to a techno-business in plant engineering
- 1845 Company founded by Johann Bernhard Münstermann as an agricultural-orientated blacksmith's workshop
- 1978 Bernd Münstermann takes over the business now in its fifth generation
- 1988 Company moved from Alverskirchen near Münster to Telgte-Westbevern
- 1996 Set up of the product group Infra-red and UV-drying processes as a result of the take-over of the drying technology company GIT in Wuppertal, Germany
- 1999 Set up of the product group material-handling engineering
- 2000 Set up of the Department Measurement and Control
- 2002 Set up of the product group de-dusting engineering resulting from the take-over of Lüscher Filterbau AG, of Lienen, Germany
- 2003 Extension of the production area to 12.000 sq m and a new administrative tract of 1.500 sq m
- 2008 EFxtension of administrative office space by a further 1.500 sq m
Münstermann today
Today Münstermann is a leading producer of industrial drying and heat-treatment units including their ancillary material-handling and filter facilities with 180 employees of whom 100 are in the Production Department.
Münstermann has been able to adapt itself to changing conditions in a global economy. As a result it has been able to increase its export share of turnover since 2002 from 30% to 70 % in 4 years.
The products and services offered by Münstermann have been largely special solutions to specific problems. With the extension of the production halls and the production capacity it is now possible to manufacture complete production lines. This has meant that the circle of customers has changed both in terms of quantity and quality. Today, more and more well-known large concerns are becoming customers.
