Reference Projects Tobacco

Münstermann has delivered a high-performance vapor scrubber to a globally operating tobacco company.

Functionality

The scrubber is used to remove tobacco dust and smaller solid components (tar, nicotine, ammonia) from an exhaust air stream by means of washing water and works on the countercurrent principle. The washing water circulates in the circulation to reduce the consumption of fresh water. The bound dust settles out as sludge and is collected in the water filtration.

Special features of the project

The project offered some design features. The scrubber is completely made of stainless steel, as it must be corrosion-resistant to sea air. In addition, the scrubber is designed for outdoor installation. He is wind resistant up to 250 km/h and that at a height of 6 meters.
