The platforms are returned via a storage conveyor chain line. At the same time the platforms pass through the cleaning section and after that they are positioned for the latching on to the casting moulds. With the plat-forms it is a question of the side part of the casting mould.
Automated cleaning station
The cleaning section for the casts consists of three cleaning steps in the plant in which there are no interruptions in the cycle time:
- An endless screw removes the rough dirt
- A plastic scraper removes the remaining loose dirt
- A rotating brush takes on the final cleaning of the moulds
The production process is thereby uninterrupted by this activity.
