Chemical Projects

Filtration systems for the chemical industry are a steadily growing business area for Münstermann. A good example of the competence in this area is a project for Sasol with two vacuum vapor filters.

Vapor filters are used to separate the fine dust fraction from the process gas, which is produced during the drying process. The exhaust gas is referred to herein as vapors.

Scope of delivery

In the described application, the supplied units serve specifically as process filters for a drying plant. The scope of delivery included the engineering, two round filters made of stainless steel including the pulse-jet cleaning system, the control and the assembly supervision. The filters themselves are equipped with a so-called "Thermplate" heating system.

Specialities

The vapor filters can convince with some special properties. The blowpipes are designed to be easy to maintain thanks to a quick-release fastener. The tube cleaning is ensured by a pulse-jet system with aluminum venturi nozzles. Finally, the filter bag surface is heated with steam.
