In November 2018, the customer accepted the customised pipeline transfer station for the pneumatic conveying of cut tobacco to the connected cigarette manufacturing machines (in short: pipeline station).

This station ensures that the 16 cigarette-making machines can be connected to any of the 24 feeder pipes. By means of the station, e.g. in the case of a change of type, each production machine can be connected to each feeder (as long as the connections are not already occupied) in order to be supplied (fed) with the correct tobacco. To do this, the previous pipeline between the permanently installed connection pieces is dismantled and laid with other adapted pipeline sections to the correspondingly newly selected connection of the manufacturing machine and the feeder. The pipe sections are connected by means of quick-release fasteners.

This manual process only takes a few minutes. To ensure that the new connection has been laid correctly, it is automatically checked electronically and blocked if necessary. A corresponding optical/acoustic/electronic signalling is adapted to the customer's specifications.
