Sometimes we are especially happy about a project. The reason for this can be an exciting application, a special challenge or the fact that the customer comes from the neighbourhood.
For the F. Kiffe Söhne vehicle factory in Münster, Germany, we supplied the steel construction and drive technology for a transfer car. The platform is used to move railway wagons such as tank cars. The loads are up to 35 tons, whereby a load of up to 55 tons must be withstood to drive over the platform at standstill.
The platform itself is designed for outdoor operation and has spring-loaded ramps to drive the wagons up. It is driven by two geared motors.
