Video: New dryer door concept for low ceiling heights
On the occasions, when the customer’s standard units cannot be utilised, our special solutions are employed. In this particular case, the customer’s production unit had to be extended and the new unit had to be fitted into the existing production hall. The following film shows how, by means of a clever door concept, in which the lifting doors glide away forwards, so that the size of the dryer did not have to be reduced.

If a stop in the drying process of the metal strip is necessary, the customer must be in a position because of the high temperature to cool down the oven quickly or, and here the Münstermann solution takes effect, to come off line so that the metal strip does not have to be reheated.

When producing metal strips, which are uneven or wavy, it could happen that the drying in the metal strip dryer is not even or that the metal strip for reason of its unevenness even damaged. For this very reason Münstermann designed and developed a metal strip dryer for a current project, in which the separation of the nozzle boxes, which are fitted above and below the strip to be dried, can be altered. With the option of being able to alter the separation to the metal strip optimal drying of the strip is ensured and damage to the metal strip, for example, hitting the nozzle boxes is avoided.
