Frictional wheels for high temperatures

Frictional wheels are used to close gaps in the storage tracks both for individual cars as well as the complete string of cars. Very often the contact temperature which the frictional wheels are exposed to, is very high.

A typical application in this connection is, for example, the conveyance of kiln cars. Münstermann has now designed and developed frictional wheels that can be used in temperatures of up to 200°C.

The advantages in detail:

  • Contact temperatures of up to 200°C
  • Constant temperature up to 170°C
  • Very good coefficients of friction also with high temperatures producing excellent frictional tightness to the kiln car and ability to transfer the power of the driving motor
  • High speed of travel possible
  • Friction lining is cast directly on to the steel hub resulting in no possible slip at the hub
  • High capacity of resistance to wear and therefore longer working life
