Award for Magdalena Münstermann in Berlin

On the occasion of the International Volunteer Day (IVD) the Federal President Joachim Gauck presented a total of 26 citizens from all over Germany with awards in Schloß Bellevue in Berlin on 2nd December 2013.

Magdalena Münstermann, a member of the Board of Directors' of Bernd Münstermann GmbH & Co KG, was one of them. Magdalena Münstermann received the medal of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany and was honoured for amongst other things for her voluntary work in the Telgte Model but also for her further voluntary commitments as a worker to the Alverskirchen Citizens' Team Registered Association, the Regional Committee of the North West Westphalia Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Education of the German Engineering Association.

The Telgte Model is basically the concrete and active cooperation between schools and business concerns locally, which has developed in an especially positive manner in Telgte. The most important feature of this is to develop the cooperation between schools, the local authorities and the local businesses, there where tuition is given in any case, from the Primary Schools to the Senior Schools

Together with her family Magdalena Münstermann travelled to Berlin to receive the award. On behalf of the honoured individuals present Magdalena Münstermann thanked the Federal President for their awards:

This award from the highest-ranking official in the land is confirmation and positive encouragement for us to continue our activities with the many different players locally.
