Metal strip dryer with adjustable nozzle separation
During the production of metal strips, which may have a high propensity to waviness or unevenness, it is possible that the drying in a metal strip dryer can occur non-uniformly or that the strip is even damaged.
For this reason in one of Münstermann’s current projects a metal strip dryer has been designed and developed in which the gap between the nozzle boxes, which are fitted above and below the strip to be dried, can be adjusted. The option of being able to adjust the distance to the metal strip ensures optimal drying and damage to the strip, for example, from striking the nozzle boxes is avoided.
The dryer itself is situated in the production line after a strip cleaning station.
