Nordic walking at Münstermann
The sports activities within the framework of the company sports programme have already been reported on frequently in these pages. Along with running, cycling and swimming now walking is among the promoted disciplines.
The Nordic Walking Group at Münstermann consists of 10 company members who meet every Tuesday and Thursday to go walking as a group.
On 8th August six members of the group took part in the 5th Volksbank-Bever-Walk in Ostbevern. The weather conditions for the walk were not exactly optimal. To begin with it poured with rain and at the end of the walk it was extremely muggy and made it difficult for the participants. Despite the adverse conditions all the Münstermann participants reached the finish.
Along with Thorsten Riesenpadt, who took part for the first time and finished a very respectable 9th place in the 10 kilometre walk, Gisela Pelster, Barbara Groll, Ulla Pelster, Doris and Reinhard Lambusch took part in the 5 kilometre walk.
Planning for the next event in Telgte in September is underway.
