IR radiation driers: well-known and economical
R-unit for drying coated panes of glass with an air cooler fitted behind it with an integrated rod transport conveyor
The infra-red radiation is one method of warming in which the energy is transmitted by electro-magnetic radiation (thermal radiation).
Depending on the aims and on the demands of the layout infra-red systems can be variously employed. IR-radiation driers are especially suitable for the following applications:
- Thermal treatment of material surfaces
- Heating and melting of outer skins
- Drying of coatings
Technical differences
Electro-IR radiator
- For the whole IR-range of applications (including "near" IR)
- Large range of power output with an even emission over a wide area (working width)
- Support of energy transfer as well as drying by convection
- Simply designed and clean installations
- Any number of fitting positions
Gas heated IR-radiators
- Conventionally used for the long and medium-wave length IR-range
- Short-wave length radiators can be used with convection
- High flexibility of the radiator design by employing relatively small individual burners (suited to variable working widths)
- High mechanical robustness
