Drying plants
Belt driers and continuous flow driers: continuous drying
The plants consist of several sections as a rule. Each section is equipped with its own heating system and one or more air circulation units so that the ambient temperature and the quantity of circulating air can be adjusted exactly to the thermal treatment.
The flow of circulating air is induced either vertically or horizontally; many units have an alternating system from zone to zone. An increase of capacity is possible at any time by the introduction of individual zones.
Typical goods to be dried are:
- bulk goods
- granules
- strip goods
The transportation of the goods through the dryer depends on the type of good and takes place either on conveyor belts (bulk materials, smalls, continuous loop products) or by using goods carrying containers with an integral conveyor system (roller conveyor, chain belt conveyor, rack conveyor, trolley etc).
Typical uses of the belt driers and the continuous flow driers are found in the following industrial segments:
- Chemical
- Building materials
- Automotive
- Animal feed
- Insulation materials
