Filter and de-dusting technology
Modernization of existing installations
Many of the existing de-dusting units are no longer at the latest state of the art with regard to design and function. Very often the filter techniques are either obsolete or inefficient. The modernization of an existing de-dusting unit often involves far less trouble and expenses than is in general imagined. It produces a multitude of advantages and savings. In addition, more and more legal regulations make modernization necessary. For example, years ago a remaining dust reading of 20mg/m³ for limestone was valid, today the regulations are of 5 or 10 mg/m³.
Modernization but how?
Modernization consists of the replacement of the filter heads in the existing unit with a modern cleansing concept. When employing the so-called Jet-Pulse cleansing system the filter tubes are cleaned with a Venturi nozzle using squirts of compressed air. So, the filter cake is separated from the filter medium and deposits in the dust discharge. De-dusting units fitted with the Jet-Pulse Cleansing System can work without cleaning being necessary during operation.

Firm advantages
By replacing the existing filter heads to the Jet-Pulse System including modern control electronics, the surface area of the filters can be increased without extending the unit itself. A lower load on the surface area of the filters is achieved and as a result a higher degree of efficiency of the whole unit.
Even the running costs of the unit are reduced as the unit with the Jet-Pulse separator becomes substantially easier to service and on account of the snap rings used to connect the tubes untrained personnel as well can be employed to change the filters.
